Your profile
Your profile is the top of your page — your picture, your name, your Headline and your Summary.
Everything here is edited in place, on the page itself, not in a form somewhere else: you tap the thing you want to change. The one exception is your display name and Headline, which live in Settings under Profile Page & Theme.
How to
- Write the Summary that shows on your pageSomeone lands on your page and you want them to know who they are looking at.
What it can do
- Write your Summary, a short paragraph about you, edited directly on your page
- Add a profile picture and a cover photo
- Add badges that say what you do and what you care about
- Show a QR code that opens your page, so someone can scan it instead of typing your address
- Put your resume beside your name: tap the 📄 icon, choose a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file, and choose who can open it. Green is Public, orange is Connections and red is Only me
- Open your page with a Professional Pitch, a 30 to 60 second video about you, from your device or your library, and choose who sees it
- Follow it with a Professional Introduction, a 15 to 20 minute video about you and your work history, which may include a presentation, and choose who sees it
- Show your work history, one experience at a time, each private until you mark it to show
Worth knowing
Your display name and Headline are not edited here — they are in Settings under Profile Page & Theme, in the Profile Details block.
Who can see it
Your profile is governed by one setting for the whole page, in Settings under Privacy: Public — anyone, Connections — connections only, or Private — only you. That is separate from the per-section badges further down your page — see The sections of your page and Who can see what.
